Cruise the edge of the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico, beginning in the Cuban capital of Havana, followed by the city of Cienfuegos and Trinidad near the Escambray Mountains. Explore the classical Maya landmarks of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, with ports-of-call including Costa Maya, Progresso and the UNESCO World Heritage site of San Francisco de Campeche.

31 Dec Sunday Havana, Cuba Full day walking tour of Havana’s old quarter including the Plaza de Armas and Plaza Vieja and witness a performance by a local dance project. Meet with local artists at the San Jose market before an exclusive performance by members of the Buena Vista Social Club.    6.00pm

02 Jan Tuesday Casilda for Trinidad, Cuba Drive to Trinidad and visit the unique colonial architecture. Walk from Plaza Mayor with famous sugar mansions and visit city museum. Meet the artist Lazaro Niebla (or visit the Crochet Project next door) and explore the historic Manaca Iznaga Sugar Plantation. Then have free time to climb the tower, purchase souvenirs or enjoy a refreshment.   9.00am  6.00pm 
03 Jan Wednesday Cienfuegos, Cuba Morning guided tour to Punta Gorda and the arboretum. Visit some artist studios near the city’s main square, Parque Marti. Head back to the ship for lunch and in the afternoon enjoy a private performance by the Chorus of Cienfuegos at the Tomas Terry Theatre.  8.00am  8.00pm

05 Jan Friday Costa Maya, Mexico Visit Kohunlich Mayan Ruins - including a visit to the famous "Temple of the Masks." After touring the ruins site, stop of for lunch in Balacar  8.00am  8.00pm

07 Jan Sunday Progreso, Mexico A comprehensive tour of the famous Chichen Itza Mayan ruins including the Pyramid of Kukulcan, the ball courts and Temple of Warriors.   8.00am  overnight 
08 Jan Monday Progreso, Mexico Drive to Campeche to see the UNESCO fortified city. Explore the city center, including the military architecture and colorful buildings. Your tour also includes a visit to the city museum and gardens. Alternatively take a more leisurely tour exploring the historical area including the oldest cathedral in the Americas.    overnight 
09 Jan Tuesday Progreso, Mexico Full day tour to the Uxmal Mayan Ruins, including the ruins of the Governor's Palace, Pyramid of the Soothsayer, and Nun's Quadrangle.    8.00pm
