Specific information for your cruise and land program is provided below for UK, US, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand passport holders. All guests are reminded to check the latest requirements via their government’s Foreign Services/State Department website.
Guests whose nationalities are not mentioned above or below must contact the consulates of each country to be visited on their cruise itinerary to determine exact requirements. It is each guest’s own responsibility to ensure that they have the required documentation prior to travel.
Failure to produce the required documentation at embarkation may result in denied boarding and any expenses incurred as a result are not the responsibility of Voyages to Antiquity.
Passports are required for all Voyages to Antiquity cruises and must be valid for a minimum of six months after the last day of your journey. Each guest’s passport must have a minimum of four blank pages for any entry and exit stamps that may be required. Please check that your passport meets these requirements.
Guests on itineraries which include calls to Arab countries and that may have an Israeli visa or entry stamp in their passport are strongly encouraged to obtain a new passport prior to travel. This is simply a recommendation and is not a requirement at the time of this writing.
No visas are currently required for UK, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand passport holders visiting France, Italy, Croatia, Greece, Malta, Georgia, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Cyprus.
Russia
Group visas are obtained by the ship upon arrival in Sochi. The cost of this visa is included in your cruise fare. However, passengers wishing to go ashore outside of our group arrangements will need their own individual visa.
Turkey
Requires an individual entry visa for UK, US, Canada and Australia passport holders arriving by air. New Zealand passport holders are not currently required to purchase an arrival visa. For US, Canadian, and UK passport holders arriving to Istanbul by air, Voyages to Antiquity will provide the required visa stamp with your final cruise documents. A charge of US$20 (for US citizens), US$60 (for Canadian citizens, or GBP£10 will be automatically applied at the time of booking.
If any guest prefers to obtain the visa on arrival, or via Turkey’s new E-Visa program, please contact a Voyages to Antiquity representative for further information. Voyages to Antiquity must be notified in writing that guests plan to obtain the visa on their own. For guests arriving to Turkey via the ship, Voyages to Antiquity will obtain the visa on behalf of all guests and bill the applicable amount to your shipboard account.
Visa costs are subject to change at any time and guests will be updated when and if there is a change.
Albania
Group visas are obtained by the ship upon arrival for UK, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand passport holders. The cost of this visa is included in your cruise fare.
Egypt
Requires an individual entry visa for US, UK, Canada and Australia passport holders. New Zealand passport holders are not currently required to purchase a visa. When arriving to Egypt by sea on board Aegean Odyssey and disembarking, Voyages to Antiquity will obtain the Egyptian visa on your behalf and add the cost to your onboard account. Approximate cost of the visa is US$16.
For US, Canadian, UK, and Australian passport holders arriving to Egypt by air, the visa can be obtained on arrival. The visa fee must be paid in cash, and US$ GB£, and EU€ are all accepted.
!NOTE: Voyages to Antiquity must have the following information relating to each passenger: full name (as it appears on passport), address, nationality, date and place of birth; plus passport number, expiration date, date and place of issu and insurance coverage information. It is the responsibility of the guest to verify that the full name (s) on any cruise, land, or air arrangements confirmation received from Voyages to Antiquity or a designated travel agent is exactly the same as listed on his/her passport.
Voyages to Antiquity is not responsible for cancellation or pre-bookable fees imposed by any supplier due to incorrect names provided by the guest or travel agent.

Voyages to Antiquity requires all guests to provide full passport details, including addresses and next of kin information prior to issuance of final documentation. The personal information provided to the company is only shared as required by government regulations to the local authorities for the purposes of customs, visas, and immigration clearances.
The information may also be shared with certain suppliers of your travel arrangements. It should be understood that when making your booking you agree to your personal information being passed on as described above. You may also receive marketing communications from Voyages to Antiquity unless you indicate otherwise.
