From there Aegean Odyssey continues to Valletta, Malta; Tunis and Sousse in Tunisia for an exploration of ancient Carthage then on to Tripoli, the fascinating capital of Libya, and Al Khums, to visit one of the great archaeological sites in the Mediterranean - Leptis Magna. It is then onto Benghazi and Cyrene in Libya before departing for Alexandria, Egypt, the city founded by Alexander The Great in 332 BC and once the site of the Pharos lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The cruise culminates in Cairo, where guests explore the Pyramids and Sphinx in Giza.
